Yes. In Google Authenticator, go to Settings → Transfer accounts → Export accounts. A QR code will appear — scan it with Authenticator to import all your accounts at once.

Go to Settings → Backup & Restore → Export. Your accounts will be encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a master password you choose. Save the backup file in a safe location.

If you created a backup file before losing your device, you can restore it on a new device by going to Settings → Backup & Restore → Import and entering your master password. Without a backup, you'll need to contact each service to reset two-factor authentication.

When enabled in Settings → Security, the app will require Face ID or Touch ID to unlock. You can also set a PIN as a fallback. Auto-lock will secure the app after a configurable period of inactivity.

Yes. OTP secrets are stored in the device's secure keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore), separate from account metadata. All data is encrypted with AES-256. Your secrets never leave your device unless you explicitly create a backup.

Authenticator supports both TOTP (time-based one-time passwords) and HOTP (counter-based one-time passwords). It is compatible with any service that uses the standard OTP protocol.

Long-press on your home screen and select Add Widget. Find "Authenticator" in the widget list. The widget displays your most-used codes so you can access them without opening the app.
